About Porch & Skillet

Porch & Skillet started in a home kitchen in Longmont, Colorado, with a simple idea: the kind of Southern cooking you grow up on shouldn't be hard to find in the Rockies. We're a small, family-owned kitchen making gumbo, red beans and rice, and Sunday supper classics the way they've always been made — slow, from scratch, and with ingredients we'd feed our own family.

Every order is cooked in small batches, prepped by hand, and made only after you order it — no steam trays, no shortcuts. We use only high-quality ingredients, from whole chickens simmered for our own stock to pork shoulder slow-cooked until it falls apart.

We're not a restaurant and we're not a chain. We're a couple of people in Longmont who love to cook, sharing it with our neighbors one plate at a time.
